Dead plants from a severe winter freeze were embedded into this clay, leaving an imprint of destruction and the unpredictable behavior of weather. After this event, we were left to repair damages that continued over months. The vitality and cyclical nature of plants shows us that life continues.
This piece uses a self-made mold derived from my recyclable plastic container collection. The inclusion of this adds a geometric and mechanistic element to an otherwise organic form.
This form can be seen as an artifact that one could discover.
