Dead nature from a severe winter freeze was embedded into this clay, leaving an imprint of destruction and the unpredictable behavior of weather.

This is another example of the use of a mold created from my recyclable container collection. I incorporate something manmade and sterile in repetitive use to create something connected to the body and the human experience.

No one ever said that I love butterflies. But I use this as a starting point for glazing, symmetry, and a color standpoint.
